A player identified as Rose M. of Linden triggered Hard Rock Bet’s New Jersey Mega Jackpot on Aug. 14, converting a $2 spin into $2,949,857.40. The operator announced the win on Aug. 17, calling it the largest jackpot payout in the history of its online casino. The spin landed on Long Xing Da Da, a title from White Hat Studios.

It is a new record by over $850,000 and it is the fourth Mega payout since the New Jersey network launched in April. The July win was the first to pass $2 million; this one arrived six weeks later and came close to $3 million.

By the winner’s account, the alert nearly went unnoticed. “When the notification popped up I dismissed it because I was mid spin,” Rose M. said in the operator’s announcement. “When I saw my balance increase I thought there was a glitch.” She said she called her sister first, then drove to Atlantic City the same night to confirm the payout. She plans to help people close to her, return to school for a master’s degree, and travel to Greece.

Hard Rock Bet runs four tiers in New Jersey, seeding at $100,000 for the Mega, $1,000 for the Major, $100 for the Minor, and $10 for the Mini. Players opt in by adding $0.10 to each bet, so a $2.00 spin costs $2.10, and they remain opted in until they opt out. The trigger is random rather than tied to in-game symbols or bonus rounds, and the operator states that stake size does not affect the chance of hitting: a $1 spin and a $20 spin carry the same odds.

New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement reported internet gaming win of $276.9 million for July 2026, up 12% from $247.3 million a year earlier. The New Jersey Mega has now paid out roughly $8.9 million across four hits, against an online sector holding more than a quarter of a billion dollars in a single month.
